ABSTRACT
The aim of the paper was to assess some changes in the competitive capacity of Polish agri-food products on the European Union Market, resulted from escalation of World agricultural trade liberalization, as well as lack of the new agricultural agreement. The analysis of competitiveness of Polish agri-food sector in trade with the EU countries was made with the use of selected quantitative indicators of competitiveness and the computable general equilibrium model Global Trade Analysis Project. Some typology of agri-food product groups according to the level of competitive advantages on the European Union Market, as well as intra-industry trade index was made. The Ward method, from among the cluster analysis methods, was used to reach this aim. It was proved that till 2015 Polish processed products would have the biggest competitive advantages on the European Union Market than raw materials. It was also noticed that labour-intensive products should be still ranked among the most competitive products in intra-EU trade.
